Had probably the best dental experience of my life here! Dr. Linda Ying Zhao was the best! Saved me from a potential root canal & was very gentle throughout. Also took my insurance with no hassles. 10/10 experience :)

If you live in the Raleigh area, look no further for the best dentist ever!!! I am just visiting for the weekend from Colorado. I arrived yesterday with existing jaw pain I thought was nerve-related due grinding my teeth at night because of a stressful life situation. However, my pain increased dramatically throughout the day. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror this afternoon and saw my jaw was enormously swollen on one side! In desperation, I called the dentist nearest to where I'm staying and it happened to be the wonderful, amazing people at Hillsborough Street Dental! I called at 4pm the day before everyone was taking off for Fourth of July weekend and they told me to come on in. I arrived at 4:15 and they had my issue identified, x-rays taken, abscess drained, and a prescription for antibiotics called into the nearest pharmacy by 5:15pm! Every person in that office was compassionate and kind to me, even though helping me out kept them all later than planned at work. Dr. Andersen went above and beyond and is even looking for an endodontist who might be available to complete the rest of my care this holiday weekend before I head back to Colorado. Great experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and my exam and cleaning were thorough and professional. Everything was explained clearly, and they made the entire visit comfortable and stress-free. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist!

Dr. Zhao has been my dentist for several years, and the care I’ve received has always been exceptional. Over the past year, I’ve needed more treatment visits than usual, and each one has been handled with patience and professionalism. Dr. Zhao is gentle and takes the time to explain what’s going on with your dental health. The staff is friendly, professional and makes you feel at ease. I’ve received and highly recommend Dr. Zhao to others seeking quality dental care.

This was my first appointment at Hillsborough Street Dental, and let me just say ….they understood the assignment. From the moment I walked in, the entire team moved with a level of professionalism and calm that immediately put me at ease. No rushing, no guessing, no surprises. Every single thing they did was explained before they did it, and that alone made me feel cared for instead of processed. My visit ended with getting a cavity filled, and even that was painless… like, genuinely painless. They checked in with me the whole time, made sure I was comfortable, and treated me like a person whose experience mattered, not just another slot on the schedule. If you’re looking for a dental office where the staff is kind, intentional, and actually takes the time to make sure you understand what’s happening, Hillsborough Street Dental is it. I walked out feeling informed, respected, and grateful I chose them for my care.
